Find your motivation for success - a learning point in our basic building blocks 'Atoms'

Atomic Life - Fire always existed but the trigger matters

Think of a fire, now think of what's in a fire, now think of the atoms that makes those molecules burn in different exited states - Its all those sub-atomic particles that are in different states of energy that shows up as a fire isn't it? And why is that fire show not happening all the time? What switches it off?

Is it not due to the lack of a 'trigger'. This trigger is the catalyst not only for the fire but also for whatever we do. The fact is we are built from just a bunch of such atoms and we behave very similar to our building blocks.

When we want to think of something, perform an action, and succeed in performing - it takes us through the same cycle of what an atom has to undergo in order to release some energy and show some fire but all this has to happen in our mind and body with a harmony and this needs a trigger.

Lack of triggers - find your motivation
Triggers is what most of us lack in ourselves and it is the motivation factor. This is mostly because we are strongly insulated from receiving such triggers due to various states of mind. Readiness of our mind to accept the triggers is very much important to be motivated to fire up our mind repeatedly to produce bright results.

Put your fire for good purpose
Now, comes whether the fire in our mind is used to light up the darkness in a long-term basis or to burn down and destroy a forest in just few minutes. The decision making authority in each of us if put to use shall guide us in the right path irrespective of the level of education we have. This puts your fire for good purpose and helps to spread light in the darkness.

This good motivation for oneself is the answer for 'What is in it for me?' question!

Shepherd of the lost goat

Greenish: Never thought of selling a goat for the promise of care ...

It was on 16th August, 2010 that I left out for a morning walk. While the Sun was about to rise to perform his duty for the day, I never realized that I also had a duty to perform. There was a person who seemed to be a post graduate student walking fast towards me and showing strange faces with a sign of happiness and shy. While I was still confused on seeing him, a full blackish shiny goat was also in my sight which followed him very closely. I was wondering what a person studying at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli had to do with a goat and vice versa. When I smiled back at him, he was very eager to ask me if I can take that goat away. Wow… Farming and being a Shepherd with lot of sheep, goats, horses and dogs was one of my dreams. Let me exploit this chance to try out my dream… I thought. Hence, he escaped by letting me catch the goat for a moment till he disappeared. I was aimless at this situation and never knew what to do with this goat. Thought of taking it out of campus and giving it to some poor family will take care of this goat till it becomes old. No one will accept to take it for nothing.

With all such thoughts, while I went out of the campus through some broken compound wall, this goat had to face a dog. When I am the Shepherd, no one attacks my goat. I drew the dog away and crossed the road. I was moved by the goat's behavior when it followed me closely. It must have thought me as its mother…? But I am not… Poor creature. There was a old lady who crossed my way. She asked me, “Why this goat is following you? Where are you both from? What are you doing with this goat?” I explained everything and asked if anyone is there in that village who will not eat meat. She replied, “What non-sense are you speaking? Is there anyone who wont eat meat? They will even sell this goat for money immediately.” I was helpless and thinking of what to do with this harmless creature. Then she expressed her interest to take care of the goat and asked me if I can give it to her. I felt happy for becoming the master of this pet. And I never thought of selling a goat for the promise of care. But I gave it to her and ran away from the place while she was still holding it.

When I crossed a particular distance, I turned back and found that the goat has accepted this old lady as its care taker and followed her closely. I was happy to help someone today :)
